Biography

Kester grew up in Augusta, GA riding horses and acting in plays. She went to high school in Aiken, SC where she began to take an interest in modeling. Upon graduation she moved to Ocala, FL to  be an exercise rider for thoroughbred race horses.

Interested in modeling full-time, Kester moved to South Beach, Miami in the early 1990s to start her career. Over the next few years she traveled to Italy, Germany,  New York, the Midwest and the Bahamas for work.

In 1995 she took a break from  traveling, but continued to model part-time in the Carolinas while earning a degree in Media Communications from the College of Charleston. Still a lifetime equestrian, she rode on the College of Charleston Equestrian Team, one of the top 5 in the nation.

She worked as an entertainment and lifestyle writer for magazines and newspapers in the area and in South Florida. An avid music lover she enjoyed reviewing and interviewing popular, as well as unknown, musicians in all genres. Interested in photography as a hobby, she also shot some of the photos for her articles.

Then she moved into editing and layout and design. She was the entertainment editor and designer for the College of Charleston newspaper for 3 years. And she worked part-time at a book publishing company. One summer she worked as an editorial assistant for Miami Metro Magazine and then upon graduation she worked as a newspaper designer for the Post and Courier in Charleston.

In 2001 she moved to Atlanta, GA where she did some freelance writing and design work, but began to take an interest in modeling again full-time. She also started to develop an interest in acting and started taking classes and going on auditions.

She started an entertainment company in 2003 called Dream Friends. She and several other actors perform as various specialty characters for birthday parties, festivals and corporate events. http://www.dreamfriends.net.

2006  took her back to Miami where she started a small branch of Dream Friends and enjoyed working more frequently in commercials and print.

In 2008 in she is happy to be back in Atlanta focusing on her company and working part-time in acting and print.
